Known as the paradise for travelers who want to go to the beach but did not attempt to go far away to bali, LOL. although, located in Jakarta, the island still original and most are still virgin and the beaches are not less good with the local area which is famous for its beaches.
this time, for the umpteenth time, I had the opportunity to visit thousand islands to the north area. to visit the northern part, we used boat (called ojeg perahu) which departs from the mouth of the Angke docked to the kelapa island. although the island's many inns, but I did not choose kelapa island because it was too crowded and friend of mine who works at the health department said that in this island there are cases of rabies (although it really does not affect me).
From the kelapa island, we had to walk to get to the harapan island. yup! we need the road, because the island only separated by a paved bridge and not far away also, think about only 15 minutes of my trip to the inn. so to the inn, about about 10 am, we were getting ready for island hopping. because this so called a weekend trip, which is we only have a little time, then we immediately start our itinerary.
The first island we visited was kotok island (highly recommended). because around the island we can do snorkeling and within the island there are also breeding falcons. the coral reefs also amazingly..!!
then we moved to next island: panjang besar island. actually, there's two Panjang (Panjang besar island and panjang kecil island). We can also do snorkling around the island, but what we did is having lunch at its beach. Panjang kecil island located "next to" panjang besar island. i could see it and it consists of grassland, our guide told us that the island also has a function as a helicopter landing site.
after enjoying lunch and unwind. we continued our journey to the next island: barren tiger island. the barren tiger island located next to the tiger island but this island smaller and not too commercial. a friend of mine who have visited it told me that we must beware of tiger island's guard because they not allowed us to come to it or we should have permit if we want to visit it. c'mon! we're light backpacker, so while enjoying the island we should ready if the guard come and ejecting us. hohohohoho ........
the sun seemed to be drowned and we still have one more place to be visited: Puteri island. this is kinda resort island that very well-managed. what we done is: snorkling, visited the aquatic underwater and enjoying freshwater pool, yay!
on our way back to the lodging, we saw very beautiful sky ever! not because the rainbow, cos we wasn't see any of it. but it because we saw kinda well-organized nature light. that was really really a tiring but fun trip cos i surrounded by amazing people!
